GlobalTimesOnline was founded in 1842 with a single purpose: to tell the truth about the world, as clearly and completely as possible, to as many people as would listen. That purpose has not changed.

We believe in journalism that is independent of commercial and political pressure. Our newsroom is funded principally by our readers, whose subscriptions allow us to pursue stories wherever they lead without fear of the consequences.
